After being in the wedding industry for a few years, I noticed a pattern and it made me quite emotional and sad. I noticed at events and weddings, wherever there was a photo booth the older generation were less inclined to use it. Was it they didn’t understand how it worked or just the fact they didn’t want to be silly, they didn’t really want to use it. Apart from a few family shots that was it. I would always made a conscious effort as a wedding photographer to capture people during the reception. I never knew if anyone saw the images.

So Liminal Portraits was born. I trialed it at a few events and you know what – the first people that got up to have their picture taken were the older generation. They loved it. At weddings traditionally, people used to goto a wedding, stand at the church door have a portrait. In the evening the photographer would print out al the images and sell them to the guests, so everyone had a keepsake from the wedding. This slowly faded away as peole faded away from traditional aspects of a wedding.

Liminal Portraits is a studio set up at your event. We come with a big white back drop and portable lights and can set up anywhere. You and your guests are then directed by a professional photographer, who happens to be me.

So who am I? I’m Jennifer a wedding photographer, I have over 10 years of experience in the portrait industry. I know how to make you look good, I know how to create fun moment that arn’t silly. You have the option to print the photos or just have. gallery filled with gorgeous black adn white photography. Your guests get access to the gallery as well, they have the joy of having a fantastic keep sake from your wedding, or event, after all they got dressed up, did their hair and make up and look so gorgeous, why not give them a classic Hollywood portrait. Please don’t feel you can’t have fun with it because you can. I aim to get the classic red carpet look, then it’s up to your guests if they want to have the fun shot.
