Lakes Entrance is a coastal town situated at the eastern end of Ninety Mile Beach in Victoria, Australia. Known for its iconic lakes system that connects to the ocean, it’s a destination that captivates visitors with its natural beauty. The town is a hub for outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and kayaking, and it offers a relaxed, coastal vibe that’s perfect for unwinding.

Apart from its waterways, Lakes Entrance is surrounded by lush national parks and wildlife reserves. Whether you’re exploring the scenic Gippsland Lakes, enjoying a stroll along the waterfront, or taking in the spectacular views from Kalimna Lookout, this town promises unforgettable experiences. For couples looking to say “I do”, the peaceful ambiance of Lakes Entrance offers a stunning canvas for creating lifelong memories.

Eight Acres Lakes Entrance Wedding

Nestled in the stunning Gippsland region of Victoria, Lakes Entrance provides the perfect backdrop for your dream wedding. With its picturesque beaches, serene waterways, and rolling countryside, Lakes Entrance is a truly magical location to tie the knot. One of the most enchanting venues in this area is Eight Acres — a beautiful property that effortlessly blends rustic charm with modern elegance. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, Eight Acres is the ideal venue for a wedding that will be cherished for years to come.

The staff are warm and friendly and will help you with anything you need. I had the pleasure of capturing Ebony and Damien on in their fabulous March Wedding. What’s even more fantastic is you can hire out this venue for 3 days, so you and most of your guests can stay in houses around the venue. At night there are fire pits lit, if it’s a hot day you can cool off in the fabulous vintage pool. But the whole place is yours and you can party all night long without disturbing anyone!

Spring is a popular choice for weddings due to its mild temperatures and blooming flowers. The gardens at Eight Acres come alive with vibrant colors, providing a beautiful setting for outdoor ceremonies and photoshoots. Autumn my favourite time of year. This is another stunning season to get married in Lakes Entrance. The mild weather, with temperatures averaging 14-25°C, and golden foliage create a romantic atmosphere. It’s also a quieter time of year, offering more availability for venues and accommodations. It’s still warm enough to celebrate outdoors but not roasting hot that everyone is sweating.

While winter is the off-season, it has its own charm, especially for couples seeking a cozy, intimate wedding. Eight Acres’ rustic barns and indoor spaces are perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, even on cooler days. Temperatures range from 8-15°C, so plan for indoor elements and provide cozy blankets or heaters for guests.
