Melbourne’s North – It used to be the dirty, grungy part of town where only the really cool artsy people hung out, it was a mix of back alley cocktail bars the type where you walk down a laneway and had to use a secret knock to get into contrasted with dirty hole in the wall bars where your feet stuck tot he floor. Now it’s become more and more gentrifies as up and comers moved in, wanted that loft vibe almost Brooklyn esq lifestyle. But with all that came the cool wedding venues that have popped up, in cool warehouses, old buildings and factories, and some of them are turely divine and really capture that Iconic Collingwood vibe.

Collingwood is not your typical pretty winery, it’s bare brick, grafitti walls, enormous windows and some are festooned with plants from top to bottom. Chapel1885, located in Sackville St Collingwood was formerly a church designed in Gothic Revival style. The space has exposed brick walls with a stunning timber ceiling handcrafted by 19th century shipbuilders combine with large arched windows that filled the interior with light, while intricately painted murals and statement chandeliers add the perfect finishing touch.
